Silverlight 3 has been released, and it has a ton of great stuff.  It has stuff that Erik breaks down into 4 categories:

  • Graphics stuff – support for the GPU and 3D graphics
  • Out-of-the-Browser applications – support for Silverlight outside of the browser frame
  • Misc programmatic enhancements – element binding, dynamic resources, etc.
  • Tooling support – Blend got a powerful upgrade

The Silverlight world just got a whole lot more power.  To get started with the new bits, go to GetStarted
