Silverlight as a Gaming Platform – Bill Reiss
August 28th, 2008
In this show, we talk about Silverlight in terms of games. It’s every developer’s dream to write a game from scratch, and Bill is proving that it’s possible with Silverlight 2. He’s got a tremendous collection of games, and he shares the hints and tricks of game development on this new platform.
What are Silverlight’s high points as a gaming platform?
What is Silverlight missing in terms of games (what classes, methods are currently missing)?
Where does 3D fit into the RIA picture?
Can existing game code be pasted into Silverlight?
Bill is a Silverlight expert, and he’s co-writing “Hello! Silverlight 2” from Manning Press with Sparkling Client favorite Dave Campbell!
