Tablet Developers on the blade runner future.

Silverlight as a Gaming Platform – Bill Reiss

In this show, we talk about Silverlight in terms of games.   It’s every developer’s dream to write a game from scratch, and Bill is proving that it’s possible with Silverlight 2.  He’s got a tremendous collection of games, and he shares the hints and tricks of game development on this new platform.
What are Silverlight’s high points as a gaming platform?
What is Silverlight missing in terms of games (what classes, methods are currently missing)?
Where does 3D fit into the RIA picture?
Can existing game code be pasted into Silverlight?

Bill is a Silverlight expert, and he’s co-writing “Hello! Silverlight 2” from Manning Press with Sparkling Client favorite Dave Campbell!

Thanks to our listeners, we have the premier Silverlight podcast, and we’re steadily growing.  It’s exciting to be a part of this, and it’s exciting to be a part of the Silverlight world.  In this short segment, we talk about some recent feedback and how we’re retooling the show.  This is your chance to have a voice in what the show looks like in the future.

Twitter!

Brian Henderson from Seattle suggested that we be on twitter.  It’s a great suggestion, and we’re doing it.  See behind the scenes information and more episode info.  It’s an experiment at this point, but we’re excited.  See here for the Silverlight Podcast on twitter.
